Goodbye Andy Bosnak

April 5, 2016

A quiet farewell transpired back in October as we played our last show for Beat Kitchen’s 25th Anniversary. Unbeknownst to most, our good friend and guitarist of many years, Andy Bosnak, had decided to quit music altogether earlier in the year, and we limped along until we played this show with our good friends in Yakuza, hoping he might find a way to keep music in his life. But alas, it was not meant to be, and that October show at the Beat Kitchen was his last with Beak. And what a show it was! It was one of the those bittersweet moments where you play your *ss off with both love and fear in your heart.

We love you Andy and we will definitely miss your loud bellowing, your frequent brotherly scuffles with Jason, your companionship, your penchant for juice and Led Zeppelin DVD’s, and your ability to hug and slap-down / beat-down your friends like a large grizzly. To our fans – send us a Inflatable Water Slides self addressed, stamped envelope, and we will mail you this portrait of Andy, printed out in Black & White, signed and kissed by the man himself. And also this: we are roaring back with the new guy this spring. Rehearsals have been rehearsed and new songs have been started. New show coming soon. WATCH OUT.
